Welcome to the Centre for Therapeutic Storywriting!

The Centre for Therapeutic Storywriting promotes the use of therapeutic storywriting by educational professionals supporting pupils with emotional and behaviorual difficulties.
It was founded in 2002 by Dr Trisha Waters who developed the Therapeutic Storywriting Groups and Story Links models.
Both models of intervention aim to support emotional wellbeing while also developing pupils’ literacy skills and both use the principles of therapeutic storywriting.
Training
We deliver training to educational professionals in:
Setting up Therapeutic Storywriting groups3-day training for professionals supporting groups of pupils, 7-12 yrs, with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties. |
Story Links: Working with parents of vulnerable pupils3-day training for educational professionals linking with parents of individual pupils, 6-11 yrs, at risk of exclusion |
