Centre for Therapeutic Storywriting Update
I hope this sunny summer term is going well. Here are the dates of the next Therapeutic Storywriting training that will take place in Brighton next term as well as details of forthcoming conferences.
3-day Training: Setting up Therapeutic Storywriting Groups for Pupils with BESDs
Research has shown this intervention improves pupils’ writing skills while developing emotional literacy. It is a DCSF case example of good inclusive practice. The training is practice-based and participants are expected to set up the 10 week intervention with a group (4-6) of pupils in school after the second day of the training.
Target group: SENCOs, HLTAs, SEN teachers, Educational Psychologists, Learning Mentors & School Counsellors supporting pupils (7-13 yrs) with BESDs at KS2 & KS3
Location: Dialogue Centre, Brighton (close to B’tn station)

Speakers include Prof Paul Cooper, Prof Harry Daniels and John Visser. Yours truly will also be presenting the research results from the Story Links project.
